5/01/07 V: As we look up stats or weed- T and I have been noting titles to potentially update- making a print-out for an Update folder or typing directly in the Request List 2007, In EQ Refshare, the Collection Development electronic folder.

 4/27/07 Rough Time estimation (VL): Toni started weeding on Thursday, April 26-

Consider that 6 shelves= 1 shelf unit

The shelf units- from 000-999 including Genealogy and Florida but not Biography or Refererence= 90 shelf units 

at this pace: 90x6= 540 shelves minus 48 weeded= 492 shelves remaining

#Fiction shelves=88x6=                                             528 shelves

# Reference shelves=34x6=     204

#Bio= 20 shelf units- but not tightly packed and these were heavily weeded last year by Lorraine.=120shelves

Subtotal= 1,344 shevles

# Large Print shelves= 22 sux6=132

# AV shelves= 33 shelf units x6=198 shelves

REf= 34 shelf units-"       "      " =204 shelves

Subtotal= 534 shelves

5/8/07 Current rate of weeding =9 shelves per day, 5 days per week=45 shelves per week

Total shelves remaining=1,878   divided by 45 per week (only REF staffand current assistance)=41.7 weeks divided by 4.333...weeks per month=9.64 months

A rate of 3 carts per day, 5 days per week=12 shelves per dayx5= 60 per week=31.3 weeks/4.333= 7.22 months

If Ref only does Nonfiction and nonfiction, & Bio, Genealogy and Florida= 1,140/3 carts per day (60/wk)=19 wks=4.38 months

5/24/07 Total number of shelves weeded to date: 189 

 1,344/189= 7.11 months
